I was chatting with a friend and somehow our messages switched to the dark, Vanish Mode where they disappear. It’s a bit confusing—how do I actually turn this mode off and get back to our regular chat where the messages save?
To turn off Vanish Mode in Instagram:
- Open your chat where Vanish Mode is active (dark screen).
- Swipe up from the bottom of the chat and release—the screen will go back to normal, and Vanish Mode will turn off.
- You’ll see a message confirming Vanish Mode is off, and your conversation will now be saved as usual.
