Has anyone figured out how to stop those “suggested for you” posts from showing up on Instagram? I find them really annoying and would love to know if there’s a way to disable or hide them.
Unfortunately, currently Instagram does not have a direct option to disable or hide the “Suggested for You” posts. They appear as part of Instagram’s algorithm to tailor your browsing experience according to your interactions on the platform. However, you can influence what you see by interacting more with the content types you like, and less with the content types you don’t like. You can also use the “Not interested in this post” feature by clicking on the 3 dots in the corner of every unwanted suggested post. This will help Instagram tailor suggestions more to your preference.

Additionally, an alternate workaround to avoid those posts could be to make use of Instagram’s ‘Save’ feature. Basically, if a user saves more posts related to their interests, Instagram tends to pick up on this and it might help in showing more relevant suggested posts. It might not be a perfect solution but still worth a shot. As always, Instagram’s algorithm is continuously evolving so the experience can change over time.
