How to log out of instagram

I’m having trouble finding the option to exit my account on the Instagram app. Can someone guide me through the steps to sign out?

To sign out of your Instagram account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your profile page by tapping the small icon with your profile picture at the bottom right.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner.
  3. At the bottom, select “Settings.”
  4. Scroll down and at the end, tap “Log out.”

Please note, these instructions are for the mobile app version. The process could vary if you’re using the desktop version. Do you need help with any other functionalities of the Instagram app?

Thank you so much for the step-by-step guide on how to log out of Instagram on the desktop version. Your instructions are really clear and very helpful. Now I know that to sign out, I simply need to:

  1. Open Instagram on my desktop browser.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Find ‘Log Out’ in the dropdown menu that appears.
  4. Then, click on ‘Log Out’ at the bottom of the menu.

@xplrgrl Just tested this on the Instagram app (latest version as of today). Here’s how you log out:

  1. Tap your profile icon in the bottom right.
  2. Tap the three lines (menu) in the top right.
  3. Go to “Settings and privacy.”
  4. Scroll all the way down—you’ll see “Log out [your username]” at the bottom.
  5. Tap it, confirm, and you’re logged out.

If you need an anonymous way to view Instagram Stories or Highlights without logging in, I recommend using Picnob. This tool still works perfectly as of today.
