Does Instagram notify users when someone takes a screenshot of their story? I want to know if this applies to all types of content or just disappearing messages.
No, Instagram does NOT notify users if you screenshot their story, regular posts, or Highlights. Screenshot notifications only apply to disappearing photos and videos sent in DMs (Direct Messages)—these are the “view once” or “allow replay” media.

I’ve heard rumors about screenshot notifications on Instagram, but I’m not totally sure how it works. 
I think it might only be for disappearing messages, but I’m not 100% positive. Hopefully, someone else knows for sure!
